Our Story
I have family members with allergies and I wanted a dog that would not limit family visits. I immediately began to research this "new" breed called the Labradoodle. I found Rutland Manor and Tegan Park and learned everything I could about this amazing breed. After about a year of reading chat rooms and talking to Beverley from Rutland, Left Coast Labradoodles was born in July of 2003 when I received my baby girl doodle, Bindi. She was bred at Rutland Manor in Australia. She was shipped to the States and we began our journey together.

Soon after Bindi joined our family we decided to complete our doodle family with a stud that would be perfect for our breeding program. We found our perfect little boy at California Labradoodles in Woodside, CA. He was bred at Rutland Manor and his beautiful mother Lil Poppy came to Dana at California Labradoodles. She and I co-own little Buddha and he has proved to be not only beautiful in form and coat but also the perfect companion and future sire of LCL puppies.

Our Purpose
We are a small breeder. We will have limited litters to start our breeding program. I am not concerned with the quantity of litters, I am deeply committed to focusing on the quality of the litters that I produce. The end result of our breeding program is to produce vibrant, healthy, puppies. Our dogs are not treated as "breeders". They are part of our family and the puppies we breed will be treated with the same love. We strive to continue the non-shedding, intelligent, loyal qualities that we observe in our female and male. LCL also promises to maintain contact with every puppy that leaves our home and remain committed to that puppy for the extent of its life. We will always be available for questions and concerns and want to help in any way possible with our puppy's lives.

Our dogs are also fed superior nutrition and my hope is that this will continue with the families that adopt them. There will be a puppy packet sent home with each family containing information about how to choose the best nutrition for your new family member. Our dogs receive raw meaty bones daily, along with vegetables and fish oils. I do give them dry dog foods as well, more as supplemental. I will give every family the information on how to choose a healthy dry dog food.
